Does anyone know of a good use for dried juniper berries? I don’t have any grain alcohol available, otherwise I would say gin. Oh, and maybe someone can tell me how to keep the colour in my photos when wordpress compresses them. Thanks!
i’ve been using juniper berries in quite a few of my cured meat experiments.
pancetta and guanciale call for them in both recipes.
if you’re a carnivore you may be able to put them to some home use.

you can crush them to release their flavours, and use appropriately to flavour meats, sauces, stuffings, etc.
Thanks for the help guys, I’ll try that out. I like the idea of crushing them up in a stuffing a lot actually, maybe that will be my first run with juniper berries.
About the photos, check to see if you saved them with a sRBG or RBG profile*. sRBG being the preferred web profile. “Most” browsers display RBG images as washed out so this might be your issue.
